My mom came into town a couple of weeks ago and we went to the Dogwood Festival together.  I’ve never been to one before, even in Knoxville, so this was completely new to me.  I was really impressed with how packed Piedmont Park was. A lot of things seem to be happening all at the same time – food, music, vendors, kids, etc.  I really liked the energy that was there.  I think that’s something I’ve figured out recently – I really feed off the energy of the crowd and the people around me.  And this was definitely very good energy.  I took a few pictures of the crowds spread out.  Of course, Piedmont Park is HUGE, so this doesn’t even capture 10% of the people there.

Anyway, we mostly walked around to all the different vendor booths and looked at all the really cool art.  There was some really cool pottery that I almost got.  I restrained myself though, because all I need to do is spend more money and have more stuff to move.  There was also booth of sheep paintings.  OMG, I did everything I could to not come home with one.  Seriously, aren’t they the cutest?

Other than the vendors, there was also a dog show.  The dogs were amazing – jumping and weaving and catching frisbees.  I tried to get a few pictures, but the only ones that really turned out were them jumping.  Very cute!
